Whidbey Island Center for the Arts board of directors has issued a statement regarding the current Covid-19 outbreak.

"Hello,

This morning, Governor Jay Inslee announced a ban on gatherings and events of more than 250 people in King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties in an effort to slow the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

We understand the potential impact of the coronavirus on our island and have decided to take a significant measure to protect the health of our community, artists, patrons, volunteers, and staff.

After much careful deliberation, and with a heavy heart, we have decided to postpone upcoming events.

If you have tickets for planned events, or would like to learn more about the coronavirus impact on the center and our community, please visit our website.

Wishing you good health,
The WICA Board of Directors Executive Committee

Robert W. Merry, Board Chair

Judy Morton, Vice Chair

Thom Hall, Treasurer

Debra Drake, Secretary

Ken Pilcher, Chair Elect

Verna Everitt, Executive Director, Whidbey Island Center for the Arts"
