Vox Fabuli Announces Puppet Class For The New Year at Theatre Puget Sound

Looking for the perfect gift for the new-experience seeker on your list? Help them start 2018 on a delightfully zany note with a puppet class! Or heck, treat yourself. (The more the merrier where puppets are concerned.)

In this fun, dynamic class, you'll learn the foundations of good stage puppetry - focus, physical commitment and basic puppet operation. Seattle-based puppeteer Rachel Jackson will teach you how to make your puppet seem alive and connect with your audience. You'll get lots of hands-on time with professional arm-and-rod puppets plus a simple practice puppet to take home so you can keep working on your skills.

Rachel Jackson's Vox Fabuli Puppets specializes in twisting the familiar into dark and humorous shapes. Rachel has been puppeteering on various Seattle stages since 2008, where her work has been called "mad and masterful" by The Seattle Times. The mind behind the hit "MANOS - The Hands of Felt", she more recently brought her talented hands to "Muppets Burlesque," and The Fringe at the Puppeteers of America 2017 National Festival. Rachel teaches puppetry classes through her company Vox Fabuli Puppets, co-produces the Fussy Cloud Puppet Slam, and is unofficial Puppeteer at Large for the Seattle Nerdlesque scene. www.VoxFabuli.com.
