Local actor Tom Birkeland returns to the stage after recovering from major back surgery. It's a Wonderful Life marks his triumphant return to the stage after facing the possibility of not being able to act again. Tom is a familiar face to theatre patrons of Puget Sound and will be portraying the wheelchair bound Mr. Potter. He didn't have to do much research for his role, because Tom now finds himself learning how to live life in a wheelchair after his surgery.

It's a Wonderful Life is the saga of George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty. George's guardian angel must descend on Christmas Eve to save him from despair and to remind him, by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born, that his has been, after all, a wonderful life.

This production is directed by Maria Valenzuela and includes a cast of 25 local actors including Dan Lysne (George Bailey), Kirsten Deane (Mary Bailey), and Gary Spees (Clarence).

It's a Wonderful Life will run Friday, November 29, 2013 until Sunday, December 22, 2013. Friday and Saturday showings are at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. This show is recommended for all ages.
