Theater Schmeater Presents ATTACK OF THE KILLER MURDER OF...DEATH! Tonight

By:

Theater Schmeater is delighted to announce the opening of its first full production in its new space, Wayne Rawley's Attack of the Killer Murder of...Death! tonight, July 18th at 8pm, at The Schmee, Theater Schmeater's new venue at 2125 Third Avenue.

Set in the 1950s, the cast and crew of a low budget B Science Fiction movie are trapped on location by a storm on an island off the coast of California. Soon it appears that they are being stalked as a string of unsolved murders thins the ranks. Whodunit? The starlet? The hyper active director? The wizened and cost conscious producer? Or is it the Attack of the Killer Murder...Death!

Attack of the Killer Murder of...Death! is the most recent of Mr. Rawley's plays to be produced by Theater Schmeater. His episodic trailer trash, late night serial Money and Run enjoyed a lengthy run in the 00s, and 2011's premiere of Live, From the Last Night of My Life won a Gregory award for best new play production of the year.

Directed by Wayne Rawley, Attack of the Killer Murder of... Death! boasts a talented and experienced cast: Ashley Bagwell, Alyssa Bostwick, Lisa Branham, Nik Doner, Alyssa Keene, J.D. Lloyd, Corey McDaniel, Tim Moore, Allie Pratt, Lisa Viertel, and Lantz Wagner.

An experienced and skilled production team brings this arena of murder and death to life. Set design is by Michael Mowery, with lighting by Dave Hastings. Julia Evanovich is the costume designer with property design by Jodi Sauerbier. Original music is by Al Angel, with Foley design by Doug Staley. Special blood effects are by Julia Griffin, who is also the assistant director. The assistant stage manager is Jessamyn Bateman-Iino. The production is stage managed by Bianca DeVita.

Attack of the Killer Murder of...Death! will preview on Thursday, July 17th at 8:00 p.m. This is a pay-what-you-can preview, for available first-come, first-served, at the door, unreserved tickets. Attack of the Killer Murder of... Death! opens on Friday, July 18th and runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. through August 16th. General tickets purchased in advance for all shows are $21.00 or $25.00 at the door. Students and seniors are $18.00 in advance and $21.00 at the door. Advance tickets are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/604912 or by phone at 1-800-838-3006. Thursdays are pay-what-you-can at the door for same day available unreserved tickets.
