THE WEDDING SINGER Comes to Tacoma Musical Playhouse, 3/5-3/28
Tacoma Musical Playhouse continues its Sweet 16th Season with an exciting production of the new 80's flashback musical, The Wedding Singer.
Based on the popular 1998 New Line Cinema film starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, this version brings to the stage all of the fun, music, dance and zany characters from the movie. Led by TMP veterans Matt Posner (RENT, Grease, Urinetown) as 'Robbie Hart' and Elise Campello (Meet Me in St Louis, Beauty & the Beast, Footloose) as 'Julia Sullivan', this show features an extremely energetic and talented cast of singer/dancers who will carry you back to the days of Boy George, Cyndi Lauper and Ronald Reagan!
Performances of The Wedding Singer are Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm, with Saturday matinees at 2 pm on March 20th and 27th. All performances will take place at Tacoma Musical Playhouse, 7116 6th Avenue in Tacoma. All seating for TMP and TCMT productions is reserved, so advance purchase is strongly recommended. Tickets are $25 for adults, and $23 for students, seniors and military. Student Rush tickets are only $18 for all opening weekend performances. Group rates are available. Due to sexual themes and strong language, this production is not recommended for youth under age 12.
