Jimmie Galaites is a recent Seattle transplant and The Luxuria Cycle is his first locally produced play. It is a highly topical story that satirizes not only our society's obsession with finding the perfect partner, but also the way personal information is used as currency by corporate interests. The Luxuria Cycle is a fantasy, but one that seems all too plausible.

The Luxuria Cycle is directed by Jen Moon, one of the five directors who contributed to Star Crossed, and other tales from a devious universe earlier this season.

Annex Theatre is a democratic collective of theatre artists dedicated to creating bold new work in an environment of improbability, resourcefulness and risk. Annex Theatre produces new plays by living playwrights, radical reinterpretations of classic scripts, and ensemble-generated non-linear spectacles. Now in its Capitol Hill venue, Annex originally opened its doors in 1987 in a former dance studio on 4th Avenue in downtown Seattle. Since then the theater has produced hundreds of world and Northwest premieres.
