Seattle Theatre Group Announces Young Ambassadors Program

By: Oct. 25, 2017

STG announces the launch of its brand new STG Young Ambassadors program. STG Young Ambassadors is a group of individuals (ages 16-20) that will represent STG's Education and Community Programs (ECP) Department in the Seattle arts community, provide creative input, and support a variety of other STG programs. The program will run from January 3-June 1, 2018 with optional apprenticeships possible from June 4-August 3, 2018. The application deadline is November 17, 2017 and those interested can apply via the online application on STG's website.

STG Young Ambassadors is open to those ages 16-20 who have participated in STG programs or are strongly interested in the arts. The program offers numerous opportunities for participants including gaining knowledge of STG ECP events; networking with professionals and artists in the Seattle arts community; and assisting with a variety of programs such as Nights at The Neptune, More Music @ The Moore, and DANCE This; among others. Throughout the program, STG Young Ambassadors will focus on goals such as community building, leadership, advising, professional development, and social justice. Those selected will be required to attend an orientation, as well as bi-weekly meetings, and support or represent STG ECP at a minimum of three events. Program benefits include a stipend, tickets to select STG shows, performance opportunities, and future internship opportunities for those 21+. For more information on the program, including additional benefits and/or opportunities and an application timeline, please visit stgpresents.org/education/ambassadors.
