THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE, with Music and Lyrics by William Finn and Book by Rachel Sheinkin, Conceived by Rebecca Feldman with Additional Material by Jay Reiss, will be directed by Matt Giles with music direction by Justin Beal at Seattle Musical Theatre, tonight, February 7-23, 2014.
Follow six young people on their hilarious journey to realize their dream-to become a spelling bee champion! Fraught with the woes of puberty, these youngsters struggle to become the best, but ultimately learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical and nominated for many others, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will leave a smile on everyone's face as this quirky yet charming cast of outsiders demonstrate how they can stand out and fit in at the same time.
