ABOUT YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU - The Sycamore family thrives on its eccentricities and can't understand why their daughter, Alice, worries they might scare off her "normal" boyfriend, Tony. When the couple's families meet over dinner, delightful answers emerge to the question "what is money - and life - for?"

Is the Sycamore clan really crazy or are their snakes, roman candles, bad ballet, and jangling xylophones simply the best therapy for an insane world?

Making its Broadway debut at the close of the Great Depression, You Can't Take It With You earned a Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1937. Frank Capra's film version swept the 1938 Academy Awards including Best Picture, and the play has remained a beloved gem of American theater for over 75 years.

"You Can't Take It With You may be the product of a different era, but it brilliantly illuminates today's concerns," says director Shana Bestock. "Unemployment, economic uncertainty, unstable foreign governments, and threats to national security have as much resonance today as they did 75 years ago. The play reaches across generations and gives us hope for our own. It reminds us these problems that feel so intractable will be solved, rear again, and be solved again by future generations. Because ultimately, we remain human, and the themes of family, love, and living life to the fullest win out time after time."

Directed by Shana Bestock, You Can't Take It With You features the acting talents of Angelina Aries, Ashley Arthur, Clarice Forbes, Inga Phlegar, Ingamar Christophersen, Isabelle Moore, Jake Gordon, Leo Campbell-Klein, Mitzi Adler-Wachter, Nicole Armstrong, Noah Rose Ledesma, Nora Hammen, Olivia Sterne, Sabine Stonkus, Sarah Rowley, and Suji Sivarajan. The production is assistant directed and stage managed by Alex Helme, props design by Nate Mascis, and technical direction by Kyna Shilling.
