ManAlone Productions Presents 3 SCREAMS, 2/4-26

By:

Man Alone Productions is pleased to announce the opening of 3 Screams, by Vincent Delaney on Friday February 4th, 2011.  3 Screams will then run on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM through February 26th, 2011.

3 Screams is a dark, dynamic, and hilarious play centered on a contemporary theft of Edvard Munch's "The Scream". An accountant and unlikely thief who's helped pull off the heist, Edvard, manically confronts his love-hate relationship with Munch's famous painting face-to-face. His wife, Tulla, shares a completely different side of the story-baking pastries to calm her nerves, while containing a strange, stifled lust beneath her apron. 20 years later their son, Gunnar, revisits the actual location where Munch painted "The Scream" and must now deal with the omnipresent power this singular work has had over his family and his own life.

3 Screams is by local playwright Vincent Delaney, an emerging playwright of note on the national scene whose plays have been produced and developed across the country. Man Alone Productions is honored to work with Mr. Delaney to produce this west coast premiere as their inaugural theatrical production as a company, and has gathered a talented and experienced team for 3 Screams.

The cast consists of Michael Oaks as Edvard, Erin Ison as Tulla, and Brandon Ryan as Gunnar.  Mary Machala directs with Mike Jones assisting. 3 Screams features a three-layer set design by Michael Mowery. Lighting Design is by David Baldwin, Costume Design is by Julia Evanovich, Property Design is by Cole Hornaday, and Sound Design is by Shane Regan. 3 Screams is stage managed by Amy "Red" Law.  Three local visual artists have also been commissioned and are contributing their talents and their original art:  Catherine Dickson-Schaffer, Moll Frothingham, and Arlon Rosenoff.

3 Screams will have a pay-what-you-can preview on Thursday, February 3rd at 8:00 p.m.  3 Screams opens on Friday, February 4th and runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. through February 26th. General tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. Student, TPS, and Senior tickets are $15. Advance tickets are available online at www.brownpapertickets.com or by phone at 1-800-838-3006.
