Eclectic Theater to Stage Goodisman Double Bill CHE and THE GATE, 4/11-5/9

By:

Eclectic Theater presents a double bill of works by Leonard D. Goodisman, CHE and THE GATE, beginning April 11 and running through May 9, 2015.

A double bill, two one acts.

CHE, one act evocation of Che Guevara, a disillusioned medical doctor who grew into a dissident, a rebel, a warrior, an idol, a symbol, perhaps a god, with the people who suffered and grew alongside him.

THE GATE, one act, a black GI in the Korean War falls in love with a Korean woman. Her family, the army, everyone opposes their marriage. Even years later, in retirement in the U.S., with a bit of Korea with them, discord pursues them, but reconciliation and something inspirational or even greater prevails.

On the production team are stage managers Mari Cannon and Megan Brewer, set designer Kim Rosin, lighting designer Zanna Paulson and sound designer Joseph Weisnewski.
