This spring The 5th Avenue Theatre will bring to life three new unique stories in the world premiere of the musical And So That Happened..., a collage of experiences that reflects and expresses cataclysmic change from the perspective of Northwest voices.

Playing May 17 to June 19 in the Falls Theatre at ACT - A Contemporary Theatre, this radical new piece of theater is written by a diverse group of Seattle artists: Maggie Lee and Lauren Freman, Jasmine Joshua, and Dedra D. Woods, Porscha Shaw, and Aaron M. Davis Norman. Acclaimed stage director Desdemona Chiang is at the helm as creative director, with choreography by Alyza DelPan-Monley and music direction by Steven Tran.

And So That Happened... plays May 17 to June 19, 2022 in the Falls Theatre at ACT - A Contemporary Theatre (600 Union Street in Downtown Seattle), single tickets are on sale now and can be purchased over the phone at 206-625-1900, in person at the The 5th Avenue Theatre's Box Office (1308 5th Avenue), or online at www.5thavenue.org<http://www.5thavenue.org>.

"And So that Happened... is all about what is on our minds in this moment from the perspective of three groups of Northwest voices in a musical theater format," said creative director Desdemona Chiang. "This new take on how to put a production together is really exciting. It's unconventional, collaborative, and evolving, and an incredible way to support and uplift a talented group of people in Seattle's growing musical theater community."

"We are so lucky to be able to present And So That Happened... at ACT, where the intimacy of the space will allow the creation and experience of this new musical to really flourish," added Bill Berry, The 5th Avenue Theatre's Producing Artistic Director.
