Hello Possums! Everyone's favorite Dame is back for one final goodbye (potentially) with "Dame Edna's Glorious Goodbye, The Farewell Tour" currently at the Moore Theatre. And as usual she puts on a hilarious show that reminds us all why she's risen to the level of Megastar over her 60 years in the business.

Now for those of you who have not had the pleasure of seeing Dame Edna on stage or in any number of her TV or film appearances, then where have you been? This purple haired, gladiola loving creation of actor Barry Humphries has thrilled her "possums" (as she calls us) for decades. And while she may be an invention of Humphries, there's so much detail and backstory to her life that her autobiography "My Gorgeous Life" was published as non-fiction. And now it's time for her to say her goodbyes in the only way she can, with a no holds barred, irreverent look at life, love and an inside peek into her Megastar career that she's willing to share with us commoners.

And as usual if you don't want to become a part of her act then don't sit down front as no one and nothing is off limits. She truly has no filter and let's us all know what she thinks of her audience. But of course it's done with love ... a backhanded kind of love but that love is there. And we love her for it.

It's one of those evenings where you will walk away with sore face muscles for laughing so hard. Complete with a filmed retrospective of her life and interviews with some of the celebrities she's known over the years (not to mention a dance number or two) Humphries brings to life such a complicated and engaging character that you can't help but love her even through all her snarky remarks. What more can I say but catch her before she's really gone forever? And if you couldn't guess by now, I'm giving her an uproarious YAY with my three letter rating system. There's really nothing like the Dame! And I personally hope she'll be with us for another 60 years to wave those gladdies.

"Dame Edna's Glorious Goodbye, The Farewell Tour" performs at the Moore Theatre through January 18th. For tickets or information visit Seattle Theatre Group online at www.stgpresents.org or the tour website at www.dameednafarewell.com.
