BPA Gallery Announces First Friday Art Walk of the Season
Join us in the BPA Gallery May 4 for an artist reception and an enjoyable evening of art and friends. In Marilynn Gottlieb's latest works in a series, "Perfect Squares," each piece has a unique theme displayed by a series of photography-based square images arranged into a square format. Sixteen surplus circuit boards with a bicycle theme make up one piece, 36 salvaged pieces of copper make up "Fading Away," and "Visualizing Underwater" is a set of four on gesso board. In addition to using reclaimed metal from recycle centers for some of the substrates, the frames are made of salvaged wood collected on the beach after a storm. The BPA Gallery showcases regional artists in monthly rotating exhibits in the C. Keith Birkenfeld Lobby and regularly participates in the First Friday Art Walk from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Gallery hours are 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Tuesday - Friday plus one hour prior to each performance.
