Producing Artistic Director, B.Michael Peterson is pleased to announce the 2016 season announcement and the return of his theater company, Against the Wall Productions. Against the Wall Productions aims to produce cutting edge dramatic plays written by gay male playwrights that educate, preserve and cultivate society at large on themes and issues that affect the gay community. Originally founded in 2009 by B.Michael Peterson in Portland, Oregon and after a five year hiatus, Peterson is re-establishing the theater foundation in Seattle to provide a safe working environment for theater artists who identify as gay men to create, and implement the art of theater with a quality and professional presentation.

"I am thrilled and excited to bring gay theater into the Seattle community. There are stories that need to be told and there needs to be a safe environment for these theater artists to practice their art and thrive as theater artists while making a living wage", says Artistic Director and Founder, B.Michael Peterson. "In our first year back in business, we are presenting two plays that I've written that hit close to home for many gay citizens and then we will school the children on a very important historical moment in our timeline".

In the coming years, Peterson plans on introducing gay playwrights to the Seattle playground by commissioning their work and giving those playwrights a new demographics right here in our own backyard. Such playwrights include J.Stephen Brantley from New York City and Patrick Kinsella from London, United Kingdom - just to name a couple of artists that will be showcased here in Seattle over the next couple of years.

Against the Wall Productions will be a part of the "Fringe Explosion" a month long showcase of fringe theater at The Pocket Theater in November of 2015 (November 13th and November 28th, 2015). Peterson will begin to fundraise with an IndieGoGo fundraising campaign that will be launched on October 1st, 2015 to raise funds for the first production that will be presented in January 2016.
