Steve Burns: Alive is an autobiographical one-person show written by and starring Steve Burns, co-written by Matthew Freeman, about the beloved host of Blue's Clues who suddenly departed from the show and became the subject of widespread internet rumours that he had died. The show explores the impact of online misinformation, parasocial relationships, and the lasting effects of public mythmaking. Burns dissects the bizarre phenomenon of being mourned while alive, examining how digital mythology replaces truth and what happens when millions of strangers grieve a version of someone that never existed. The production is directed by Sivan Battat.
