Grid Iron Theatre Company presents the World Premiere of Mayflies, an adaptation of Andrew O'Hagan's novel of the same title, staged at Brown's of Leith, a former metal works, as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The play is a tale of 80s youth and facing mortality in middle age, serving as an elegy to the young people we still carry within us, set against an epic soundtrack from the 1980s. The ensemble cast includes Jude Bain, Kieran Devine, Paul McCole, Lucianne McEvoy, John McGeachie, Graham Mackay-Bruce, Matthew Pidgeon, and Carmen Pieraccini. The production is adapted and directed by Ben Harrison, with dramaturgy by Douglas Maxwell and movement direction by Vicki Manderson.
