Becoming Dr. Ruth is a solo play about the extraordinary life of legendary sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer, written by Mark St. Germain and performed by Broadway veteran Anne O'Sullivan. The production charts Westheimer's journey from Holocaust survivor and Kindertransport refugee to unlikely media phenomenon and America's most beloved sex therapist. Directed by Stephen Nachamie, the play balances humour and heartbreak, illuminating both Dr. Ruth's celebrity years and the trauma, resilience, and optimism that shaped her life. This Edinburgh Fringe run marks the UK premiere of the production.
