Jake Alexander Will Bring Solo Show LIKE A GOOD NEIGHBOR to Edinburgh Fringe
Directed by Hayley Moir, the show will present at Paradise in The Vault, venue 29.
Acclaimed New York playwright and performer Jake Alexander will bring his solo show Like a Good Neighbor to Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August.
A warm, welcoming and hilariously self-conscious show sees Alexander inviting the audience into the living room of an internal monologue, and just Like a Good Neighbor, he's here to help! The show explores themes of friendship, bullying and even the concept of the infamous 'clothing chair' no one admits to owning...
Audiences can expect to see Alexander attempting to help with their day-to-day problems in real time, all while recounting the story of trying to save a stray cat in an alley (and everything that came after that!), involving trauma, blood, and tears - discover why being a good neighbor is not as easy as it may seem!
Writer and performer of the show, Jake Alexander is a Connecticut born playwright and theatre artist whose work has been produced by The Maker's Ensemble, Equity Library Theatre, Christopher Newport University, Soop Theatre Co., the Player's Theatre of the West Village, Jakespeare Virtual Theatre Co., NY Theatre Festival, Chestnut Street Playhouse, Broward College, Emerging Artist Theatre Co., and Rockford New Words Theatre Co. Jake has been published by 1319 Press, and in Qu Literary Magazine and Literature Today Webzine. He currently resides in New York City.
Director Hayley Moir is a multi-talented performer, writer and director. She has worked with companies such as The Neon Coven, Virgin, and Weiner Entertainment. She currently performs with the queer-nightlife performance group Apocalypse Noir.
Like a Good Neighbor is performing at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 8-22nd August at 20.20pm (60 mins), Paradise in The Vault, Paradise Green (venue number 29).
