EVITA to Play Lyceum Theatre, 7/1-13

By:

Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterpiece Evita visits the Lyceum Theatre for two weeks from Monday 1 - Saturday 13 July, starring West End star and multi-platinum selling artist Marti Pellow (Wet, Wet, Wet) who returns to play Che following his appearance in Blood Brothers earlier this year.

It follows her journey from humble beginnings through to extraordinary wealth, power and iconic status which ultimately lead her to be heralded as the 'spiritual leader of the nation' by the Argentinean people.

Joining Marti Pellow as Che is Portuguese singer-songwriter Madalena Alberto who will play the role of Eva. Her most recent theatre credits include the role of Piaf at the Curve Theatre, Leicester and Fantine in the 25th Anniversary production of LES MISERABLES.

Completing the cast are Mark Heenehan, Nic Gibney, Sarah McNicholas, Hannah Grover, Natalie Day, Emily Goodenough, Verity Burgess, Laura Emmitt, Lizzie Ottley,Perry O'Dea, Joe Maxwell, Joel Elferink, Stuart MacIver, Joseph Connor, Ryan Pidgen, Anthony Ray, Anthony Hewitt and David Burilin.

With more than 20 major awards to its credit, including the Oscar winning film version starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, Evita promises two weeks of drama, passion and excitement in Sheffield.

Tickets for Evita can be purchased from Sheffield Theatres' Box Office in-person, by phone on 0114 249 6000 or online at sheffieldtheatres.co.uk priced from £21.00*.
