EDINBURGH 2016: BWW Q&A - Tom Toal
BroadwayWorld speaks to Tom Toal about his 2016 Edinburgh Fringe show Help Us Tom Toal, You're Our Only Hope.
What can you tell us about the show?
It's a departure from what I've done in the past. Theatrical, silly with a massive attempt to have the whole audience cry as one. There are some very good stand-up comedy routines mixed in with a really silly premise.
Any embellishments or 100% true?
The show is about a prophecy I was given when I was 16 years old about how Edinburgh would be destroyed in 2016 unless I sacrifice my life... It is 100% true.
I got married, did my first stand-up gigs in the Middle East. Had a lovely Christmas and a cracking Easter.Who would you recommend comes to see you?
People who like a stand-up telling stories with a really silly but fun premise. Also people who might like to have a bit of a cry.
Birmingham.
