Comedian Williams Andrews Makes His Joyful Return To Comedy At The Edinburgh Fringe

Have you ever had a day where you speak to no-one, until you are not even sure how to talk? Well it's like that for Willy, but instead of a day, it's been nine years.

"Hello Edinburgh, It's been a while. I wrote a new show and I think it's good. There is a chance, of course, that I'm deluded and should go back to being a Vet. I promised I wouldn't though, as I'm not in any way qualified, and that horse died. Doing it for Betsy Trotsgood. R.I.P." William Andrews 2018

It's a joyful return to the city that raised him and the job that almost killed him*. His show is about finding his feet and his voice after a sabbatical in which he got married, became a dad and realised that happiness is a Labrador with a stick.

Daftly creative with canny surprises, this cult idiot is wholeheartedly embracing the Willy he always was.

Gratefully and gloriously directed By Hamish Macdougall (Joseph Morpurgo 'Hammerhead' Graham Dickson 'The Narcissist'), Willy is the best show he's ever done - but call him William, not Willy - would you be so rude to Myfanwy..?

Yes, he was in Alan Partridge, for like a tiny bit. Yes, he had a spot on Him & Her. Yes, he was in the second series of Broadchurch (the one that didn't make sense), and no, for the last time no, he wasn't in Horrible Histories. Oh, and when his son recently fell into some nettles, William went viral with a tweet. People liked it a lot.

*exaggeration.
