BEYOND GLORY Starring Stephen Lang Comes To Van Wezel

On Monday, November 19, 2018 at 7:30 p.m., the stories of eight brave men who won the Medal of Honor in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam come to life on the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall stage in Beyond Glory. This special Sarasota premiere stars award-winning playwright, stage and screen star, Stephen Lang, who has appeared as Col. Miles Quaritch in Avatar and The Blind Man in Don't Breathe. Spellbinding and thrilling, Beyond Glory presents poignant portraits of men at war, pushed into narrow corners and faced with hard choices - an event not to be missed!

Beyond Glory has received the NEA Chairman's Medal for Distinguished Service, and the Bob Hope Award from the Congressional Medal of Honor Society, which honors Stephen Lang's accurate portrayal of the American fighting man. On film, Lang is perhaps best known for his role as 'Colonel Miles Quaritch' in James Cameron's seminal 2009 film AVATAR. Lang is reprising that role in Cameron's several sequels, which began filming in 2017.

Tickets are $27-$57. Tickets for students and teachers are available for $17, and discounted tickets at 50% off are available for active and former members of the military. Tickets can be purchased at VanWezel.org, the Box Office or by calling (941) 953-3368. Groups of 10 or more should contact (941) 363-2025. This show is sponsored by Budweiser & Gold Coast Eagle Distributing and is part of the Herald-Tribune Media Group Cultural Series.
