Asolo Rep Awarded $35,000 Season Sponsorship from The Exchange
The grant represents a return to The Exchange’s original 2021-2022 financial giving plan after temporarily suspending awards and scholarships in March of 2020.

Asolo Repertory Theatre will receive a $35,000 grant from The Exchange in support of the 2021-2022 season. The grant represents the continuation of a longstanding relationship between the two Sarasota nonprofits.
"The Exchange has always shown such exceptional support for us," said Asolo Rep Managing Director Linda DiGabriele. "As we emerge from these unprecedented times, we're so grateful for the continued support of this Sarasota institution. We're delighted that The Exchange is again thriving and helping us to thrive, too."
The grant represents a return to The Exchange's original 2021-2022 financial giving plan after temporarily suspending awards and scholarships in March of 2020. Since its inception in 1962, The Exchange has awarded $9 million dollars in support of local arts organizations.
After making major adjustments to its 2020-2021 season, including a series of outdoor performances, Asolo Rep is celebrating a return to indoor performances in 2021-2022. The season kicks off in November with the tribal love-rock musical Hair. Next up will be Thornton Wilder's classic Our Town, the new comedy Grand Horizons by Bess Wohl, and The Great Leap by Lauren Yee.
The season will also include the debut of the long-awaited musical Knoxville, based on James Agee's Pulitzer Prize-winning autobiographical novel A Death in the Family, as well as the explosive new play Eureka Day.
The season concludes in June with the highly anticipated new musical Hood, which rediscovers the renegade crusader Robin Hood and his Merry Band.
