“It’s out of this world!”—– Students, grades 3-6, in the Berkeley Playhouse KidStage program are beaming up this summer in a fully staged production of Starmites, the cult musical of the 80s. Get ready for Intergalactic good time as our young actors sing and dance a rock & roll score filled with characters that are truly from another planet.

Alone in her bedroom on planet Earth, Eleanor is drawn into the world of her favorite comic books and the conflict between Shak Graa, teh arch-creep of chaos, and the Starmites, guardian angels of Innerspace. The Mites and their heart-throb captain, Space Punk, explain the situation: only Eleanor (who is really the pre-ordained savior of the Universe) can save the Earth from destruction! Together they must fight Shak Graa and the delightfully flamboyant Diva, “Queen of Innerspace” & her Banshee warriors.
