This March, the Mystery of Dorothy Kilgallen Unravels at EXIT Theatre

By:

This March, EXIT Theatre presents the World Premiere of Kilgallen/Jones, an original thriller by Allison Page about the mysterious life and death of journalist Dorothy Kilgallen.

In the early 1960s, crime writing was serious business and nobody took it more seriously than journalist, gossip columnist, and television personality Dorothy Kilgallen. By 2017, she is largely a distant memory until 19-year-old Alexis Jones stumbles across her story. Following in the footsteps of Sarah Koenig, Alexis launches her own podcast seeking to solve the mystery of Dorothy's life and death, and finds herself pulled into the murky history of the trailblazing, enemy-making Kilgallen, alienating everyone close to her.

Living by what she believes to be Dorothy's code of conduct, she gets closer than may be wise to unraveling one of conspiracy theorists' favorite subjects - but at what cost? Part real-life mystery and part fiction, Kilgallen/Jones explores the timeless desire to investigate and glamorize death, and the real and imagined consequences that follow.

Dorothy Kilgallen (Marie O'Donnell) advises Alexis Jones (Sarah Brazier) in the fine art of solving murders in Allison Page's Kilgallen/Jones at EXIT Theatre.
Kilgallen/Jones is directed by Ellery Schaar. This production features performances by Marie O'Donnell, Sarah Brazier, Lauren Andrei Garcia, and George Coker. The production features scenic design by Mary Naughton, lighting design by Beth Cockrell, costume design by Stephanie Dittbern, and sound design by Gregory Scharpen.

March 9 - March 25, 2017
Tickets are $20-$30 and on sale now through Brown Paper Tickets
