San Francisco sketch comedians Killing My Lobster (KML) once again join forces with The Hub at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) to present The Whole Megillah 2: Uncut, an original sketch comedy production all about the craziest of Jewish holidays: Purim. Performed at San Francisco’s The Jewish Theater (470 Florida Street), The Whole Megillah 2 will run for eight performances only: March 1, 2, 8 & 9, at 8 pm, and March 3 & 10, 7 pm & 10 pm. The show will also be presented in Kanbar Hall at the JCCSF on March 7 at 8 pm.

About the show: Written and performed by members of KML, The Whole Megillah 2 was conceived and directed by The Hub’s Dan Wolf, also of the hip-hop ensemble Felonious and resident artist at the Hybrid Project at Intersection for the Arts. This year they are bringing back old favorites (Seinfeld, Drag Queens and Interventions, anyone?) and returning to the writing room to see what other trouble they can get into. One thing is for certain: The Book of Esther will never be the same. The evening also features live music, hilarious short films and free Hamantaschen from Wise Sons Deli.

"The production represented a first for both The Hub and KML when it was presented last year. Both companies had significant experience creating and staging new work, but neither had created an original work with an equal partner. The resulting work represented some of the funniest sketches about Purim ever written."

“We were thrilled by the idea of collaborating to produce something unique, hilarious, and with just the right amount of irreverence,” said Wolf. “Last year was such a smash success, we had to bring it back. Now, it really looks as though the show will become an annual tradition.”
