Sleepwalkers Theatre Presents ZOMBIE TOWN 10/9-11/7 At Exit Theater Stage Left
Just in time for Halloween, Sleepwalkers Theatre brings the terror home with the premiere of ZOMBIE TOWN, a new horror-comedy from Bay Area playwright Tim Bauer, with members of The catharsis Collective. Last year, the town of Harwood, Texas was forever changed when it was overrun by hordes of flesh-eating undead. The catharsis Theatre Collective traveled to the town, interviewed the survivors, and crafted a play using their exact words. When the Collective approached Sleepwalkers as a producing partner, the company jumped at the chance to present this fascinating story of grit, determination, and brain-sucking zombies.
Sleepwalkers co-founder Tore Ingersoll-Thorp directs Damian Lanahan-Kailish, Drew Lanning, Ariane Owens, and Ian Riley in this hilarious send-up of horror flicks and pretentious theatre companies.
Comprised of Tore Ingersoll-Thorp, Damian Lanahan-Kalish, Ian Riley, and Jennifer Heller, Sleepwalkers Theatre seeks to produce new works aimed towards gaining fresh perspectives on the human experience. Selected as Best Theatre Company in 2009 by SF Weekly, Sleepwalkers Theatre presents works inspired by people and subjects that are important and relevant to generation now. With an emphasis on creating theatre that is vital and cutting edge, the company fosters new works and seeks out first time playwrights, with the goal of changing the way audiences relate to theatre as a live art form.
