Sing-A-Long OKLAHOMA! Held At SSU 2/12

Sonoma State University School of Performing Arts will present "Sing-A-Long Oklahoma!" a co-production of the Departments of Music and Theatre Arts & Dance.

WHAT: “Sing-A-Long Oklahoma!”
Music by Richard Rodgers / Book and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II
Based on the play "Green Grow the Lilacs" by Lynn Riggs
Original dances by Agnes de Mille

About the show: "Have you every wanted to be a part of a musical, but were too afraid to audition? This special performance event allows the audience to participate in the legendary Broadway musical "Oklahoma!" in what promises to be a special interactive theater event for all ages and a great introduction to musical theater for children. Under the baton of musical director Lynne Morrow, the audience will receive a brief rehearsal prior to the start of the performance and prepared to sing along with the show's cast ensemble in designated "Oklahoma!" show tunes. Lyrics will be provided."

The 5 p.m. Feb. 12 performance also features American Sign Language interpretation. Pre-order box lunches in advance when reserving Feb. 12 "Sing-A-Long Oklahoma!" tickets (The $10 box lunch includes sandwich, chips, cookie and beverage).

Evert B. Person Theatre is accessed through the main entrance to Sonoma State University

PARKING: After entering the main entrance of Sonoma State University, turn right. Use LOT E to the left. Walk from the main parking lot using the ramp to the theater which is to the left of the parking lot. Parking permits are required for all cars during posted hours Monday through Friday. Permits may be purchased daily from the vending machines located at the entrance to the general parking lots. Daily parking fee is $2.50. Visitor parking is only permitted in lots marked as ‘Non-Reserved.’

TICKETS: $9 to $16 / Sonoma State University students FREE for all performances
$9 students and seniors; $14 Sonoma State University faculty and staff; $16 general admission

Tickets also sold at the door at Evert B. Person Theatre one hour prior to curtain.
