From the website, "STARS 2000 is a non-profit organization. Our educational programming was created so aspiring young actors could cultivate their theatrical skills and talent while performing in a full-scale, Broadway-style musical production.
"The goal of our company is to involve students in all aspects of theatre, both onstage and behind the scenes. STARS 2000 has a 24-year legacy of producing pre-professional theatre in our community and is known for the high quality of our productions. We offer college scholarships and tuition assistance to our students. Several of our students have gone on to study theatre in college and perform on Broadway and National Tours. It is our goal to not only enrich the lives of our students but also continue to bring arts to our community."
