Photo Flash: First Look at FOUR DOGS AND A BONE at Firescape Theatre
Hot on the heels of their smash hit "Yellow Face," San Francisco's Firescape Theatre presents a production of John Patrick Shanley's "Four Dogs and a Bone" which will open on Friday, February 24th at 8 pm. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!
This deft butchering of Hollywood follows four "dogs" - a producer, writer, and two fame-hungry actresses - in a showdown for power as a major film spirals out of control. Cat fights, lies, and scheming ensue in this seriously dark comedy as Shanley viciously slays Hollywood's underbelly. Beyond the sex, the dead mother, and a bad case of butt ulcers, "Four Dogs and a Bone" is a peek into the all too true trials of Oscar-winning screenwriter John Patrick Shanley.
Directed by Robert Zimmerman, this comedy that's part romp, part satire, and all bite takes the audience on a journey to discover what really goes on behind the scenes of tinseltown.
"I have rarely had so much fun in the company of such horrid characters," said Zimmerman. "This is one of those pieces which can turn your stomach even as you're laughing."
