Bay Area Musicals announced today that the Company's 2019 Gala Fundraiser, A Twist of Limelight, will be headlined by celebrated Broadway star Paul Alexander Nolan (Bright Star, Escape to Margaritaville, Once, Chicago, Doctor Zhivago, Daddy Long Legs, Jesus Christ Superstar). All proceeds of the evening will support upcoming productions by Bay Area Musicals. The Gala will be held at San Francisco's Alcazar Theatre (650 Geary St, San Francisco, CA 94102) on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Tickets to this one-night-only event range from $45.00 - $175.00 and are available now at www.bamsf.org/twist-of-limelight.

"I am extremely proud and excited we have made it to the five-year milestone," said Matthew McCoy, Bay Area Musicals' Founding Artistic Director. "With this year's gala, we are looking to raise more funds than ever before to support our work in the community of San Francisco - and particularly our work of partnering with other non-profits to provide free accessible tickets to those who need them. Our guest performer this year is Broadway's acclaimed leading man, Paul Alexander Nolan. I had the pleasure of seeing Paul make his Broadway debut as Jesus in the revival of Jesus Christ Superstar. His voice is so pure and just soars effortlessly. I am deeply excited that Bay Area Musicals will be hosting his San Francisco solo concert debut with his performance at the gala; it will surely be a memorable evening for all who join us. I invite our entire Bay Area community to celebrate with us as we ensure that our fifth season will be our strongest yet!"

A Twist of Limelight will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception. During this time, guests will be given a chance to win raffle prizes, as well as participate in the silent auction. Immediately following, Matthew McCoy - Bay Area Musicals' Founder and Artistic Director - will give preview of the Company's FIFTH ANNIVERSARY SEASON with the help of local performers. There will also be a live auction featuring one-of-a-kind items including remote vacation destinations, dinner and theater packages, and a more. Act two will consist of a solo concert by Paul Alexander Nolan.A Twist of Limelight is generously supported by corporate sponsors HGG Hugh Groman Group, Fort Point Beer Co. and Tito's Handmade Vodka.
