North Bay Stage Company to Hold Auditions for THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS, 12/13-14

By: Dec. 07, 2015

THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS, a play by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten brings hilarity to the stage when the feisty females of Eden Falls decide to shake up their lives in an abandoned church-turned day spa where they gather every Friday afternoon. Auditions for the comedy are scheduled for Dec 13th and 14th.

"We are very excited to have Miriam Ani on board as director for this very entertaining production," says John DeGaetano, artistic director for North Bay Stage Company, a resident company. "Miriam is an actor, director, and educator with over 10 years experience, and as she mentions; deeply committed to unfolding the artistry of the human body, voice, and spirit."

Miriam is a previous company member of Hedgerow Theatre, has directed for Hedgerow, Shoot East, and at Goucher College. She is a proud KCACTF respondent and Theatre Bay Area adjudicator and has just returned from LA where she originated the lead role of Abigail in the world premiere of Jim Knable's new play Green Man at Stages Theatre. Miriam holds an MFA in Acting from CUNY Brooklyn. For more information, go to www.miriamani.com.

Auditions for THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS are scheduled for Sunday, December 13, 3-6pm. Monday, December 14, 6-7pm with Callbacks 7-9pm. No appointment necessary. Location: East Auditorium, Wells Fargo Center for the Arts, 50 Mark West Springs Rd, Santa Rosa. Actors will be asked to read from the script.

A little bit about the play: THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS is about the loss of a dear friend, which makes a group of women realize that time is precious. Comic tension mounts, so by the time the women of Eden Falls rally together to overcome certain obstacles and change their lives, you've got a sidesplitting, joyful comedy. Written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten and produced by Audie Foote.
