By: Feb. 18, 2009

San Francisco, February 17, 2009 - NCTC is proud to announce the Bay Area premiere of Act a Lady by Jordan Harrison. The show previews March 20 - 27, opens on Saturday, March 28th and runs through April 26, 2009: Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm.

All performances will take place at The New Conservatory Theatre Center (Decker Theatre), located at 25 Van Ness Ave. near Market St. in San Francisco, 94102. Tickets range from $22 - $34, and are $40 for opening night. Tickets are available at the NCTC Box Office (415) 861 8972, or online at www.nctcsf.org.

ABOUT THE SHOW

When the men of a small prohibition-era town decide to put on a play dressed in "fancy-type, women-type clothes," the entire community is affected: gender lines blur, eyebrows raise, identities explode, and life and art are forever entangled. This thoughtful and exuberant Midwestern fable uncovers the woman in every man, the man in every woman and the power of theatre to uncover both.
