NVOH Presents A CHORUS LINE 5/6-5/9
The Napa Valley Opera House is putting its own local spin on the classic musical, A Chorus Line. The production features 22 Napa Valley talents ranging from fifteen to 24-years old. It is directed and co-choreographed by Napa native Olivia Cowell, features Musical Director/Accompanist Kate Chaidez and Co-Choreographer: Kim Masters. The production is supported by contributions from the 2009 Napa Valley Opera House Gala by generous donors.
"Last year, I saw the amazing documentary, Every Little Step, and just about the same time, Marvin Hamlisch (who wrote the music for A Chorus Line) became available for a New Year's Eve event at the Opera House. Since 2010 is an off-year for our Idol competition, and we wanted to stay connected to Napa youth, I thought why not produce A Chorus Line with a younger generation of talented kids. Voila! A three-part Chorus Line triptych," said NVOH Artistic Director Evy Warshawski. "We're so lucky to have a group of donors who also saw the value of this project and who helped make it all a reality."
