NOT UNTIL THEY'RE DEAD: A Play about the Hell of Having Parents Image

Two Neo-futurists (Em Lee Reaves and Micael Bogar) match wits with musical theatre maker (Alice Moore) and comedian extraordinaire (Katie Rubin) in a truth-telling dark comedy adventure chalked full of games and prizes. Really! Well, okay, actually there's one prize. It's a check for $3.75 --so, don't go spending it all in one place.

When Alice's father passed away over two years ago, stories started to emerge that have turned into the show, Not Until They're Dead. This is a Neo-futurist dark musical'ish comedy where truth-telling, clown, and dance come together to reveal the sometimes nightmare journey of being raised by human beings. It's a walk along the fragile line between the public and the private.

From the co-creators Crepuscle, which is the original inspiration for the Tony-Award winning Broadway Musical: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Bend the Rules Eat the Head, which won Best of San Francisco Fringe in 2015, Not Until They're Dead premieres September 9th at 5:30pm at the 2017 San Francisco Fringe Festival and runs three additional nights: Saturday 9/16 @ 9pm, Tuesday 9/19 @ 8:30pm & Friday 9/22 @ 8:30pm.

Theatre-maker and comedian Katie Rubin notes: "It's rare that a show both feels lighthearted and delves into the depths of our psyches in a way that reveals potentially universally hidden truths. You'll laugh. You'll smile a lot. You'll be moved. You should go. Really. Just shut up and go."

Show creator Alice Moore explains the show, "I like to see life as a twisted and bizarre musical comedy or an indie film mixed with animated sparkly rainbows and unicorns throughout. This play is a little slice of that fantasy."
