Combining superb athleticism with phenomenal costumes, riveting music and magnificent props, the multi-media artistry of MOMIX - Botanica transports audiences to a fantasy world revealing nature's changing imagery as never seen before. "Earth and otherworldly at once - a magnificent vision of the everyday miracles around us" says the Times Union.

MOMIX performs tonight, October 25th, 8pm at the Marin Veterans' Memorial Auditorium, 10 Avenue of the Flags at Civic Center Drive in San Rafael, CA 94903. Ticket are $45, $35, $25, Premium seats $60, Students 20 and under $20, Bargain seats (rows 31-34) $20; and can be ordered through the Marin Center Box Office at 415-473-6800 or www.marincenter.org.

Known internationally for producing work of exceptional inventiveness and physical beauty, MOMIX's company of dancer-illusionists celebrates worlds of surrealistic images using props, light, shadow, humor and the human body. Under the direction of legendary choreographer Moses Pendleton,BOTANICA evokes a visual landscape populated by his whimsical, fertile and mythical imagination.

BOTANICA creates a fantasy world of surreal images using large-scale puppets, projected imagery and larger-than-life props created by Michael Curry, designer for Disney's Broadway musical The Lion King.

With an eclectic score ranging from birdsong to Vivaldi, BOTANICA reveals nature's changing imagery. An herbal remedy and natural aphrodisiac, BOTANICA shows off the endlessly renewable energy of the superb MOMIX performers, with costumes, projections and custom-made props and puppetry adding an extra dose of fantasy to the elixir.

This is dance at its most organic and inventive.
