Los Altos Stage Company presents [title of show] ImageHot on the heels of the TBA Recommended One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Los Altos Stage Company brings the 2016-2017 season to a close with a celebration of artistic collaboration when it presents the Tony-nominated musical, [title of show]. [title of show] open May 25 and runs through June 24, 2017.

With music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and book by Hunter Bell, [title of show] is a truly unique musical whose story follows its own creation. Alongside friends Susan and Heidi, the characters of "Hunter" and "Jeff" shepherd their creation through the New York Musical Theatre Festival, to the Vineyard Theatre, and finally the bright lights of Broadway.

[title of show] earned Obie Awards for both Bell and Bowen, and Hunter Bell was nominated for Best Book of a Musical at the 2009 Tony Awards. Los Altos Stage Company's production of [title of show] is directed by Doug Brook, who makes his LASC directorial debut.

Mr. Brook has directed with many South Bay theater companies, including South Bay Music Theatre (Finian's Rainbow), Sunnyvale Community Players (Fiddler on the Roof) and West Valley Civic Light Opera (Damn Yankees).

[title of show] features Caroline Clark, Derek DeMarco, Jocelyn Pickett, and Nick Rodrigues, all newcomers to the Bus Barn stage. Performances run Wednesday through Sunday. Wednesday through Saturday evening performances start at 8pm. Sunday matinee performances start at 3pm. Ticket prices range from $18 (student) to $36, including opening night tickets with an artists' reception following the performance.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.losaltosstage.org or by calling the Box Office at 650-941-0551.

Los Altos Stage Company is a quintessential American neighborhood playhouse, serving Los Altos and the greater South Bay area, and paying tribute to the full canon of American musicals, comedies, and dramas.
