Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square presented by Alaska Airlines with the creation of a limited-edition ice cream flavor. In the spirit of the holiday season, the commemorative flavor, "Chocolate Peppermint Death Drop," features dark chocolate ice cream with peppermint flakes.
Says Jake Godby, Chef and Co-Founder of Humphry Slocombe, "The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink is a go-to destination for the holiday season, and with events like Drag Queens on Ice, the ice rink has long celebrated the San Francisco community. Inspired by the daring move known by ice skaters and drag queens alike, Chocolate Peppermint Death Drop is a perfect blend of holiday tradition and daring flavor." Humphry Slocombe will serve complimentary scoops* of the ice cream flavor at the eighth annual Drag Queens on Ice, on Thursday, December 7, from 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. when San Francisco's fiercest drag queens, including Mutha Chucka, Paju Munro, Kylie-Pop and Mahlae Balenciaga, don their most gay apparel for an evening of special performances. Legendary San Francisco drag personality Donna Sachet will return to serve as Mistress of Ceremonies.Since 2007, the Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square presented by Alaska Airlines has delighted children and adults with a holiday-themed ice park located in San Francisco's Union Square.
