Dame Edna Brings Show to San Francisco's Post Street Theatre Starting 11/23

Dame Edna Everage - International Housewife, Therapist, Gigastar, Fashion Icon, Guru and Swami - is squeezing her beloved San Francisco possums in to her hectic global schedule for the last time in the world premiere of Dame Edna - Live and Intimate in Her First Last Tour at San Francisco's Post Street Theatre beginning Thursday, November 20 and continuing through Sunday, January 4, 2009. In Dame Edna - Live and Intimate in Her First Last Tour, Edna "will display her unique genius with a new and vibrantly stimulating theatrical infrastructure", addressing an exciting range of cutting edge comedy solutions. Edna will also be welcoming some very special guests on-stage, including her dysfunctional daughter Valmai as well as international diplomat, Sir Les Patterson , who will be offering advice on a variety of topics ranging from gay marriage to the state of the nation.

Dame Edna has been embracing her Entertainment Solutions both on Broadway and the length and breadth of America for the last nine years, and never have Americans needed to laugh, cry and give standing ovations as much as they do today. Dame Edna's performances have won a Tony Award and one Tony Nomination and countless critical awards.

Dame Edna - Live and Intimate in Her First Last Tour will play San Francisco's Post Street Theatre (450 Post St., 2nd floor) beginning Thursday, November 20 and continue through Sunday, January 4, 2009. Opening Night is set for Sunday, November 23, 2008.

The preview performance schedule is: Thursday, November 20 & Friday, November 21 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, November 22 at 3& 8 p.m. The regular performance schedule (November 23, 2008 - January 4, 2009) is: Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 3 & 8 p.m. and Sundays at 5 p.m.

Tickets range in price from $58-$78 for regular performances. All seats for preview performances (November 20 - 22) and Opening Night (November 23) are $55.
