DIVA OR DIE BURLESQUE Comes to EXIT Café, Beg. 7/20
Burlesque is back, and EXIT Café's got it. The ageless entertainment gets a new twist at the EXIT, now that the ladies are in charge with the all-new "DIVA or Die Burlesque." Live on stage are queens of striptease Red Velvet, If 'n' Whendy, Laura Borealis, Lezzie McFaggerson and Tasty Tempress, along with Divine Diva and Mistress of Ceremonies Odessa Lil.
Shows begin at 9:00 p.m. on selected Fridays, July 20, Aug. 10, Sept. 28, Oct. 19. Tickets are $15 available only online at www.divafest.info. EXIT Cafe is at 156 Eddy Street in Downtown San Francisco.
"DIVA or Die" emerged from this year's DIVAfest and proved to be so popular that DIVAfest plans to run the burly-q show on selected Fridays throughout the year. DIVAfest is now a separate producing entity which will produce events year-round, including DIVA or Die Burlesque.
EXIT Café is not just about exotic, enticing ecdysiasts. Live music and original tunes are on tap most Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m. with "Songwriter Saturdays" hosted by Melissa Lynn. Featured are the best of singer/songwriters from the Bay Area and beyond. Admission is free, but the hat will be passed.
