Carolers Hit Downtown San Jose This Holiday Season 12/7

Start at SJ Rep - 101 Paseo de San Antonio, between 2nd and 3rd Streets, south of San Fernando, north of San Carlos, walk the downtown area with scheduled visits to Philz Coffee, Psycho Donuts and other downtown locations.

The Victorian Carolers of Lyric Theatre of San Jose help San Jose Rep spread the good cheer in celebration of SJ Rep’s smash production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

San Jose Rep’s A Christmas Carol: The miser, Ebenezer Scrooge, is isolated from his community and the spirit of Christmas. With visits from Jacob Marley, and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, we follow Scrooge on his transformational journey to rejoin the world, find redemption and discover what it means to be fully human. Rick Lombardo’s adaptation of Dickens' classic holiday story is a feast for the senses full of traditional Victorian carols, lavish period costumes and actors playing over a dozen traditional instruments. A Christmas Carol runs through December 24th.

Lyric Theatre Victorian Carolers: Just four years ago, the carolers were a small group of volunteers who sang at Lyric Theatre fund-raisers one winter. From these modest beginnings grew a troupe of almost 50, who perform at more than 30 events each holiday season, in groups ranging from quartet to major choir. All proceeds from their performances go to support Lyric Theatre of San Jose.
