Best of SF Fringe Festival Returns to EXIT Theatre in November

By:

The Fringe has staying power. While three "Best of Fringe" shows closed the 22nd Annual San Francisco Fringe Festival with encore performances on September 21, four more "Best of" shows will return every weekend in November. Audiences will have the opportunity to see what they missed - or want to see again.

The three "Best of the Fringe" shows that played on closing night were truly audience favorites, judging by their being sold out for nearly every one of their performances. They were

O Best Beloved by Joan Howard and Rebecca Longworth.

Fish-girl by Siouxsie Q and Sean Andries.

The Tipped and the Tipsy by Jill Vice.

The four "Best of" shows returning in November will play two performances each, on Friday and Saturday nights at 8:00 pm at EXIT Theatre. All of them drew rave reviews during the Fringe Festival. They are

  • Genie and Audrey's Dream Show by Gina Cartier and Audrey Spinazola
  • 52 Letters by Regina Y. Evans
  • Memphis on My Mind by Rebecca Fisher
  • Eating Pasta Off the Floor by Maria Grazia Affinito

"Genie and Audrey's Dream Show!" depicts the silly, erratic dream logic of a night's slumber utilizing circus arts such as acrobatics, juggling, and clowning, as well as poetry, dance and music. The result is a strange and unique show about the many meanings of the word "dream," the influence of pop culture on the subconscious, and the friendship between two women. All ages!
