BATS Improv to Present DIRECTOR'S CUT! on Fridays Next Month
In Director's Cut! six improv directors do battle to bring their passion to life. To do so, they'll need to get the work they want from their fellow improvisers by directing them - live in the moment. Actors can even be tossed out of a scene and replaced! If the director succeeds and creates a "hit," the audience can reward them with a star, but if they "flop," the audience gets to demand better by punishing them on the spot (no, really - a recent punishment required company member Ken Robertson to give his cell number to the entire audience so that they could text him to shape up). This is not just theatre, it's theatre with consequences! Approx. running time: 1hr 45min. Directed by: William Hall.
Tickets are $17 general admission, $20 at the door, and are available through the BATS website www.improv.org or by phone (415) 474-6776. Email - bats@improv.org.
Founded in 1986, BATS has become the premier improvisational performing company and improv training school in the Bay Area, attracting more than 12,000 audience members and 1,300 workshop enrollments every year.
