A completely improvised salute to that classic sci-fi TV series of the 60s! Instead seeing Kirk and Spock (or spoofs of Kirk and Spock), BATS talented cast of actors will use audience suggestions to beam aboard an entirely new crew of characters, created and introduced on the spot. Even the Starship will be named by the audience. Like every show at BATS, nothing will have been pre-planned or discussed in advance. There are no stock characters or pre-determined plot points or situations. Everything from the plot, to the dialogue, to the characters, to the music and even the lighting cues and sound effects will be made up on the spot! Directed by: Laura Derry

Founded in 1986, BATS has become the premier improvisational performing company and improv training school in the Bay Area, attracting more than 12,000 audience members and 1,300 workshop enrollments every year. www.improv.org

Tickets are $17 general admission, $20 at the door. Group ticket prices are $15 each when you buy a six-pack of tickets, $14 for groups of 10+ (online, advance). This discount will automatically apply when 10 or more tickets are selected at checkout. Tickets are available through the BATS website www.improv.org or by phone (415) 474-6776.
