Berkeley's acclaimed Aurora Theatre Company presents the first Aurora Script Club meeting of the season with Aristophanes' The Frogs. Relating the contemporary script of the Company's recently extended stage production of Gore Vidal's political nail-biter The Best Man with the historical classic Greek script of The Frogs, this edition of the Script Club examines two plays that ask us to examine truth-telling, politics, and power - then and now. Aurora Theatre Company Education Director Michael Mansfield hosts.

Conceived and developed by Aurora Theatre Company Artistic Director Tom Ross, the Aurora Script Club will meet four times during the company's 08-09 season for a moderated discussion. The script for The Frogs may be accessed online at http://classics.mit.edu/Aristophanes/frogs.html

The meeting takes place on September 22 at 7:30pm at the Aurora Theatre, 2081 Addison St. in Berkeley, CA.
