Shakespeare in the Vines brings Macbeth to audiences in the Temecula Valley region of Southern California.
Director Wendi Johnson uses Macbeth, one of Shakespeare's most thrilling dramas, to explore humanity's shared lust for violence and power.
"I wanted to explore evil in man," said Wendi Johnson. "In Macbeth we very clearly see a person's descent into hell through his own actions. But each character experiences their own fall from grace and a journey to find their way back into God's grace."
Shakespeare's grand tragedy will be staged by Shakespeare in the Vines, with John Leon and
Rebecca Stier Reber as the ambitious, co-dependent couple around which a vengeance-soaked world spins.

It will be bloody.
It will be bold.
It will be resolute.
