A5678 ~ A MUSICAL REVUE opened in January of 1976 on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, California. Multi-Award winning with rave reviews; it became one of the longest running shows in Los Angeles theatre history. The Welk Resorts Theatre is proud to present the World Premier Revival.
A show-within-a-show or, to be more exact, a show-before-a-show. It takes place in a theatre where the cast (ages 16-25) is getting ready for opening night, two hours before curtain. They go through warming up, suffering butterflies and sharing dreams as they fortify each other's courage with chatter, gags and final run-through's of some of the numbers of their show.
There are many wide-ranging and clever original songs, some wonderfully familiar songs and unique specialty material from the past and present.
