The Empress Theatre Presents CLOWN IN THE PRAYER CLOSET

Clown In The Prayer Closet is a staged play written, directed and produced by Lisa Bryant .This story takes you on a mental journey of life, puppy love, sex, drugs, and dysfunctional family life told through the eyes of a sixteen-year-old young lady named Denise.

Denise thought she knew it all at 16 years old, until she decided to come home from church and take off the, "Armor of God and put on something Fly." Little did she know that taking off her armor in the middle of battle was the worst mistake that any soldier could ever make. Shortly after she dedicates her life to Christ, she leaves the safety of the Sanctuary into the arms of a new love. Will Denise be able to hold on to her salvation?

Clown In The Prayer Closet stars Derriecia Maxon as Denise, Alecia Hightower as Millie Ann, Marc Thomas as Henry, and Teniah Traylor as Mona. This play is appropriate for teens and up.
