San Diego Musical Theatre celebrated their production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's "The Sound of Music" with an Opening Night party on May 11th at Wang's North Park Restaurant. Producers/Executive Directors Erin and Gary Lewis hosted the event, with photography by Ken Jacques. "The Sound of Music" Artistic and Production team, SDMT Board Members and Advisors and Cast, Crew, Orchestra and guests attended the event. Check out the photos below!
The Sound of Music is San Diego Musical Theatre's second production of their 2013 season at the Birch North Park Theatre, and runs until May 26, 2013. The show is Directed/Choreographed by Todd Nielsen. The 25 piece live orchestra is led by Musical Director, Don LeMaster. Artistic & Production team includes JR Bruce as Set Designer, Matthew Novotny as Lighting Designer, Janet Pitcher as Costume Coordinator, Bonnie Durben as Property Master, Jill Townsend as Assistant to the Director and Tarin Hurstell as Stage Manager and David Friedman as Assistant Stage Manager.
The cast includes: Allison Spratt Pearce* as Maria Rainer, Randall Dodge* as Captain Georg von Trapp, David McBean* as Max Detweiler, Jill Van Velzer* as Elsa Schraeder, Victoria Strong* as The Mother Abbess. * Members of Actors Equity Association Additional Cast includes (in alphabetical order): Susan Boland, Laura Bueno, Janie d'Avignon, Mary Ann DiPietro, Max Gidaley, Jeni Hawkes, Glenn Hermans, Jim Marshall, Ashlee Mayer, Hallie Mayer, Charles Maze, Kevin McDonald, Paul Morgavo, Chad Patterson, Debra Wanger.
